Aquatics
The ECHS Aquatics Board supports and promotes aquatics at ECHS by encouraging participation, harnessing parent and community engagement, and providing financial support for both the Water Polo team and the Swim team at ECHS.
Archiving Project
The mission of the Archiving Project is to support the development of a strong El Cerrito High School alumni body and to collect, preserve, and celebrate the history of El Cerrito High School.
Friends of Softball
The Friends of Softball SGC aims to support and grow the Gaucho Softball program by raising funds that will help develop players’ skills, expand opportunities, and foster a positive, inclusive environment where every athlete can thrive.
Investing in Academic Excellence (IAE)
IAE is a SAF sponsored organization led by parents at ECHS to work directly with teachers and school administrators to enhance student enrichment and academic excellence.
ECHS MTB Race Team
Our goal is to provide all student athletes with quality coaching in bike handling skills and endurance training to allow for successful and safe development in cross-country mountain biking. Student athletes are encouraged to progress in racing, while maintaining a positive, fun and team-oriented environment.
ECHS Speech & Debate
The ECHS Speech & Debate program (also known as EC Forensics) empowers students to find their voice, think critically and speak out, in a supportive and inclusive community where all are welcome.
El Cerrito High Ultimate Club
ECHUC supports, enhances, and promotes the ultimate frisbee program for students of El Cerrito High School (“ECHS”) and in the El Cerrito community, consistent with the mission and policies of the SAF.
SGC Girls Volleyball
This SGCs mission is to support the ECHS girls volleyball teams by fundraising and organizing events, booking their tournaments, and coordinating Media Day and Senior Night.
Cross Country Track & Field
This SGC tries to raise enough money to cover invitational and travel costs for all athletes who want to compete.
Boys Soccer
ECHS Boys Soccer is committed to providing a high-quality and competitive soccer program that is aligned with the educational mission of El Cerrito High School. We believe in fostering a strong community that prepares student athletes for success in high school and beyond.
Friends of El Cerrito Baseball
Supports the EC Baseball program. Primarily providing equipment, supplies, gear and events by fundraising.
Grad Night
El Cerrito High School hosts an annual supervised, safe and sober Grad Night celebration organized and supported by the Student Activity Fund (SAF) to celebrate graduating seniors right after commencement.
Friends of Girls Soccer (FrOGS)
FrOGS was founded in 2001 as a SGC under SAF with the mission to supplement the ECHS girl’s soccer budget due to WCCUSD financial constraints. The parent-elected FrOGS Board serves to manage the team’s finances and bridge the gap between what the District will fund and what the girls need to be competitive. The FrOGS Board generates a budget based on the team’s needs and facilitates/hosts fundraising activities throughout the season to avert the appearance of ‘pay-to-play’ scenarios.
